The Role
Are you a qualified plumber or electrician with hands-on experience in heat pump systems? Comfortable working on active construction sites and in residential settings across Greater Dublin?
Join McGuinness Mechanical as a Service Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient running of domestic mechanical systems.
Based primarily in the Greater Dublin area, with travel to project sites across Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow, you'll be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of heat pumps and mechanical systems in housing and apartment developments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive servicing
• Diagnose faults and complete minor repairs; escalate complex issues when needed
• Assist in system commissioning and quality checks before handover
• Perform post-installation testing to meet compliance standards
• Keep clear records of diagnostics, servicing and parts used
• Follow site health and safety procedures at all times
• Support construction and commissioning teams with technical queries
• Use construction software to complete service checklists and generate certificates
• Interact professionally with homeowners and tenants
• Attend training on systems and safety as required

The Person
• Qualified plumber or electrician
• Experience in servicing heat pumps and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of HVAC, pumps, chillers and related systems
• F-Gas/refrigeration experience is a bonus
• Valid Safe Pass or equivalent
• Comfortable working independently in various environments
• Eligible to work in Ireland
• Full UK driving licence
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and tools like Procore
