This is a great opportunity to join a growing company based in Somerset, who are going through an acquisition phase.
You will be joining an experienced team and undertake a wide range of duties throughout your day, listed below!
The Role:

Plan the workflow and steps needed to complete each job.

Measure and mark materials for cutting or shaping.

Read and interpret CAD drawings to choose the correct machinery.

Set up and program batch sizes, machine speeds, and related parameters.

Monitor machines, adjusting feeds, temperatures, and resolving issues as needed.

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.

Operate lathes, milling machines, slotters, grinders, and pillar drills.

Operate CNC machinery.

Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and vernier gauges.
The Person:
- Proven experience as a Machinist.
- Experience working with Machine tools
- Welding experience
- Experienced working on a range of CNC Machinery.
- Able to read schematics and engineering manuals.
