Carmondean ELC is situated in the Deans area of Livingston and serves the local community. We are a 50-week setting, providing a mixture of full-day and half-day places. Staff work flexibly across the opening hours. As a member of the ELC team, you will support the provision of a high-quality learning environment for all children, promoting challenge, curiosity and creativity. The building offers spacious learning areas and a large outdoor garden.
Carmondean Early Learning Centre (ELC) is seeking to appoint a highly motivated ELC Practitioner to join our nursery team. The setting is open 50 week per year and staff working flexibly across the opening hours.
The successful candidate will work as part of a forward-thinking team, bringing sound knowledge of child development and responding to the individual needs of each child by providing high-quality interactions and learning experiences.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
