Summary


There are 2 Service Manager posts available, working within the General Neurology, Inpatients and Daycare Service.

This role is concerned with supporting, evaluating and leading staff to provide a quality service which is efficient, stays within financial constraints and provides high levels of user satisfaction. The postholder will act with autonomy for day-to-day management of the administration staff within their remit and will lead and mentor non-clinical staff to ensure an excellent level of customer service. The service manager will be an excellent communicator and have good organisational skills. They will oversee the day to day running of their services, and support the managerial team with service developments and improvements. The post-holder will also contribute to more senior level projects with the support of the Queen Square Divisional Management team.

Division

The Queen Square Divisioncomprises of the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) and the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) and is the largest division within the Specialist Hospitals Board.

The NHNNis an internationally renowned hospital for clinical practice and world-class clinical research in neurosciences. It is also closely associated with the Institute of Neurology (ION). Together, NHNN and ION are regarded as the premier neurosciences centre in the UK. In addition to Neurology and Neurosurgery, the NHNN provides comprehensive services in Neurorehabilitation, Neuro-Critical Care and Neuro-Psychiatry. The NHNN receives secondary, tertiary and quaternary referrals from across the UK and internationally.

The RLHIMis the largest public sector provider of integrated complementary medicine in Europe. The hospital offers an innovative, patient-centred service integrating the best of conventional and complementary treatments for a wide range of conditions. All clinics are led by consultants, doctors and other registered healthcare professionals who have received additional training in complementary medicine. Our multi-disciplinary team of world-leading experts includes neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-psychiatrists and neurophysiologists – working closely with epilepsy nurse specialists, neuro-psychologists and other specialities within the NHNN. The post holder will work as part of Neurology and Diagnostics, which comprises of the following services:
