Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and focused Service Manager to join the GI Medicine Team on a fixed term contract.

As Service Manager you will provide operational support to the GI Medicine Service, including both Gastroenterology outpatients and our specialist GI Physiology unit. You will be responsible for managing an admin team responsible for outpatient and treatment booking, patient queries and general administration support to the medical and surgical teams. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager you will lead on cancer waiting times and be responsible for the RTT pathway.



We are looking for an individual who has proven experience of leading and running a service. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet the challenges of working to deadlines. A successful candidate will need to have a proven track record of managing key performance targets and have proven experience in people management. You will be a team player with the drive and energy to improve the patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have a patient centered approach and experience of working within a busy NHS team, and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
