Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our St Austell team. Are you a compassionate and dedicated professional looking to make a meaningful impact in someone's life? By joining our team, you will be supporting a young girl on her journey to independence and recovery.
Our service user is a courageous 22-year-old who has shown remarkable strength following a life-changing spinal cord injury. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with our service user and her family to provide essential care and support, enabling her to live a fulfilling life at home. Your role will include assisting with day-to-day tasks, medication administration, seizure management and contributing to her overall well-being. It will help if you are an animal lover like her, as she loves dogs, horses and her chickens! She attends college three times a week and loves to be active in different sports and in horticultural activities.

Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Passionate, dedicated and empathetic.
A driving licence is necessary for this role.

Your responsibilities...
Personal Care;
Cough Assist;
Medication Administration including administration of specialised medications (suppositories and emergency rescue drugs for Autonomic Dysreflexia);
Moving and Handling;
Vital observations;
Seizure Management;
Suprapubic Catheter care and Bladder Washout;
background with Autism will be beneficial.
Full time - 8am to 8pm - with flexibility to do sleep shift and early or late start when required.

• £12.50/hour during weekdays day shifts (Monday-Fridays)
• £13.00/hour during weekday night shifts and all day Saturdays
• £13.50/hour during all day Sundays
• £24.00/hour during all day Bank holidays
