Summary
Oscott College is looking for a compassionate, organised person to support the smooth running of Oscott Cemetery and provide general admin support to the Bursar’s Office.
Experience working in the funeral industry is desirable, but full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
• Arrange funeral bookings and liaise sensitively with families and funeral directors.
• Maintain cemetery records, deeds, transfers, and the diary.
• Coordinate safety checks and site inspections of cemetery with the Estates Manager and site maintenance team.
• Assist Bursar’s office with tasks including post, purchase ledger, and general admin.
• Help organise the annual Blessing of the Graves and keep cemetery information updated.
About You:
• Professional, empathetic communicator.
• Strong organisational and admin skills.
• Confident with Microsoft Office and databases.
• Able to work independently and in a small team.
• Willing to learn cemetery regulations (training provided).
4 days per week (4 hours per day) to be agreed
