Summary
Our client, a leading sports organisation in Southampton, Hampshire, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full Time Sports Mentor to join their dynamic team. As a Sports Mentor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young athletes, helping them develop their skills, confidence, and love for sports.
As a Sports Mentor, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering engaging and age-appropriate sports programmes for young athletes
- Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help athletes reach their full potential
- Monitoring and assessing athletes' progress, providing regular feedback and reports
- Collaborating with coaches, parents, and other stakeholders to create a supportive and inclusive environment
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of athletes during training sessions and events
- Promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive values through your mentorship
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in Sports Mentorship
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A genuine passion for sports and working with young people
- Proven experience in sports coaching, mentoring, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- The ability to adapt and tailor your approach to meet the individual needs of each athlete
- A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude
- A valid DBS check and safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain them)
