Summary

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with strong knowledge knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum?

Do you have experience working with very young learners with SEN and additional learning needs?

Based in the Brent / Harrow area, this inclusive mainstream setting has learners with high needs and complex presentations on roll and they are committed to ensuring that the needs of all their learners are met and best outcomes achieved.

To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • Excellent knowledge of EYFS
  • At least 3 months' experience in a similar role (supporting pupils with autism, non-verbal communication, or challenging behaviour)
  • Confidence in implementing behaviour strategies and managing challenging behaviours safely and positively
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn visual communication systems (PECS, Makaton, etc.)
  • Excellent patience, resilience, and empathy
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team
  • A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and the commitment to safer recruitment standards
