About the Role

We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a temp-to-perm basis at a specialist education provider supporting children and young people with complex learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional communication needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, youll play a vital role in helping students access learning, develop life skills, and reach their potential. You will work as part of a highly supportive team in a well-resourced, specialist environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting students with severe and complex needs in the classroom and around the school

Providing communication support (including using specialist tools or assistive technology where required)

Assisting the teacher with lesson delivery and individual learning programmes

Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

Delivering personal care, which will include:

Assisting with toileting and hygiene routines

Supporting dressing and undressing

Helping with mobility and positioning

Ensuring students safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times

What Were Looking For

You dont need previous SEN school experiencefull training will be providedbut you must be:

Compassionate, patient, and resilient

Comfortable and confident providing personal care as a routine part of the role

Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Committed to safeguarding and promoting young peoples welfare

Experience in care, SEN, youth work, support work, or a similar setting is highly beneficial.
