We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, compassionate, hardworking and keenly motivated to join our well established and innovative occupational therapy team, within the occupational therapy department at Guild Lodge.
You will be part of a team working alongside service users and staff to promote the importance of engagement and occupation.
As a technical instructor being based and working within a secure environment your role will focus on developing good working relationships with service users – identifying their interests and supporting their pathway through secure services. Predictable structure routine as well as the protective factors of occupation play an integral part of a service user’s journey within Guild Lodge.
We have a range of excellent environments and opportunities for services users – namely a large Therapeutic Resources Centre & Sports Hall (that includes pottery, art rooms, and library, kitchen and gym/sport facilities) as well as the Tarnbrook Vocational Unit (this has metal and woodwork as well as silversmithing, horticulture and IT resources). We also access and use community facilities.
We always support and encourage our staff through personal development and appraisal and value the importance of regular supervision. This is an excellent chance to gain a range of really good skills in a fantastic environment!
