I’m a chatty, sociable young woman in my early twenties with a visual impairment and epilepsy. I love spending time with family, friends, and my two dogs — being around good company is really important to me. I enjoy puzzles (especially UNO and Sudoku!), and I like to stay active and involved in fun, everyday activities.

I’d like support to build my confidence in accessing activities. I would need support with navigating public transport and helping me plan and manage my diary/appointments. My visual impairment means getting around can be a little challenging — I have blindness on my left side, so I usually walk with someone on my left for guidance and safety.

I am looking for a PA who is friendly, patient, and sociable who enjoys being out and about, and who can help me feel confident and independent while staying safe. It’s important that my PA is comfortable supporting me during activities like walking, swimming, bike rides, shopping, and social outings, and is trained or willing to learn how to assist in case of a seizure.

Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Other relevant duties as required
- Administration
- Shopping
- Cooking
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Dressing / undressing

Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Notes:
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
