Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate female Support Worker to join our incredible team in Newhaven. We have a permanent part time position (25 hours per week)
We need you to hold a full UK driving licence, the people we support have their own cars and you need to be comfortable driving people to various destinations, ensuring they can access all the places they wish to go.
At our Newhaven service we support 6 people who share their home and we also support an individual who lives in the community. You will provide high-quality, flexible support to individuals with learning disabilities Your role is to help people live as independently as possible and to enjoy a great life.
What we're looking for:
· A genuine passion for supporting others.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options:
Part time: 25 hours
Shift times:
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
· Days: Between 07:00-22:00
·There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
*Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
