Summary

We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious individual to inspect, maintain, and repair play equipment and safety surfaces across parks, schools, and recreational areas. This role is essential to ensuring that all play environments remain safe, clean, and compliant with relevant safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct routine inspections of playground equipment, safety surfacing, fencing, and signage.
• Identify and report hazards, wear and tear, or vandalism.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment and surfaces.
• Clean and maintain play areas, including litter removal and surface sweeping.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and complete maintenance logs.
• Ensure compliance with RoSPA, BS EN 1176/1177, and local authority safety standards.
• Liaise with supervisors or contractors for major repairs or replacements.

Requirements
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, facilities, or playground inspection preferred.
• Knowledge of playground safety standards and inspection procedures.
• Ability to use hand tools and basic repair equipment.
• Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Full UK driving licence may be required for mobile roles.
• RoSPA or RPII Playground Inspection certification is desirable (or willingness to obtain).
