Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Technical Operations Assistant to provide essential administrative and technical support within our office environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining smooth operations by assisting with technical customer support, assisting with processing equipment for sales orders and in supporting various other key office functions.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills. Whilst any experience in a technical hardware/software setting is desirable, full training will be provided and therefore this role provides an opportunity to develop your career in a professional, technical setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and processing incoming customer orders;
• Providing technical product support to customers for example answering basic questions; sourcing and providing additional product information such as data sheets; assisting in the monitoring of the support email inbox; speaking with customers by phone or on-line meeting where required
• Receiving, checking, recording and stocking incoming products; managing stock levels;
• Assisting with the administration and set up of training courses including for example dealing with basic questions; set up and take down of the training room equipment; printing of materials and managing bookings;
• Processing customer orders for despatch including arranging couriers and boxing up;
• Assiting with other ad hoc technical tasks including set up of devices or software, testing, undertaking simple device wiring alterations.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
• Strong communication skills with professional email and phone etiquette;
• Previous technical support or administrative experience is preferred but not essential;
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively;
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team
