Location: Coventry, CV6
Weekly Pay: £460 to £500
Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term, Temp-to-Perm
Step into a crucial role supporting Year 6 boys with challenging behaviour, helping them grow, refocus and achieve in a school fully committed to nurturing every learner.
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant to support a small group of Year 6 boys with challenging behaviour. This is a high-impact role where your skills will be needed immediately to help these pupils engage with learning, improve behaviour and transition successfully through their final primary year.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide tailored support, deliver behaviour-focused interventions and ensure these children feel safe, understood and able to succeed.
What the School is Looking For
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)
* Experience: At least 6 months working with primary-age children, ideally in Year 6 or with challenging behaviour / SEMH needs
* Skills: Proven behaviour-management strategies, small-group or 1:1 intervention experience, ability to support academic learning whilst managing behaviour
* Knowledge: Understanding of inclusive practice, behaviour support frameworks, and the Year 6 curriculum demands
