Red Lane Primary School is looking for a HTLA who is experienced in working across both KS1 and KS2. In your role as a HLTA you will perform additional duties to a Teaching Assistant. You will support teaching and learning in classes as well as planning and preparing lessons when the class teacher is not available. Where necessary, you will also deliver support to small groups to help improve outcomes for pupils. As this role includes working across both KS1 and KS2, you should be confident in working with all ages. You should be an excellent communicator, committed to meeting the needs of all pupils and willing to adapt.
You will need to:
- A willingness to work hard as part of a team is essential.
- You will need to be able to communicate well with both children and adults.
- Relevant experience of working with children in an educational setting
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (Grade C or above)
- Holder of an NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent in Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning and/or higher level teaching assistant accreditation.
- Willingness to attend training.
