Summary

The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Sales & Business Development Manager to join our newly established Growth & Development department. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead the sales function from the ground up in a mission-driven organisation that is doubling its revenue while staying true to its values.

As one of the first hires in this new department, you will have significant autonomy to shape strategy, build a high-performing team, and drive revenue growth across our diverse product portfolio. You will work directly with the Director of Growth & Development and play a critical role in LITC's journey from £3m to £6m+ revenue.

This role is perfect for a commercially-minded sales professional who wants to combine business acumen with social impact, working in an organisation that measures success not just in revenue, but in lives transformed.


The Role: 5 Key Responsibilities
Following EOS principles, this role has 5 core responsibilities that define success:
1. Revenue Generation (40% of role)
You will own all sales activities across LITC's product portfolio, driving both B2B and B2C sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets.

Key Activities:

Lead sales efforts for courses delivered in Africa and Asia (target market: educational institutions, NGOs, corporate partners)
Drive sales of impact holidays in the UK and USA (target market: individuals, groups, corporate social responsibility programs)
Develop and execute commercial growth plans across all product lines
Identify and close high-value deals with strategic partners
Achieve £2m+ annual revenue target (£200k in Q4 2025, scaling to £2m+ by end of 2026)
2. Sales Team Leadership (25% of role)
You will build, manage, and develop a high-performing sales team, creating a culture of excellence and accountability.

Key Activities:

Recruit, onboard, and train sales executives (growing team from 2 to 6+ members by Q4 2026)
Set clear performance targets and hold team accountable through weekly 1-on-1s
Mentor and develop team members to maximise their potential
Create sales playbooks, scripts, and training materials
Foster a collaborative, high-energy sales culture aligned with LITC values
Participate in weekly Level 10 Meetings™ (EOS framework)
3. Pipeline Management (20% of role)
You will own and optimise the entire sales pipeline from lead generation to close, implementing CRM-based tracking and forecasting.

Key Activities:

Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline (100+ qualified leads monthly)
Implement and manage CRM system (Odoo/Leadoo) in collaboration with the operations team
Track, forecast, and report on sales metrics weekly
Optimise conversion rates through data-driven insights (target: 25%+ conversion rate)
Manage sales cycles effectively to ensure consistent revenue flow
Achieve £500k pipeline value in Q4 2025, scaling to £2.5m+ by Q4 2026
4. Commercial Strategy (10% of role)
You will develop pricing strategies, commercial models, and sales collateral that position LITC competitively while ensuring profitability.

Key Activities:

Create pricing strategies for courses, impact holidays, and new products
Develop compelling sales proposals and presentations
Negotiate contracts and partnership agreements
Design commercial models that balance social impact with financial sustainability
Collaborate with Innovation & Product team on go-to-market strategies
Achieve 35%+ gross margin on sales and secure 3+ new commercial partnerships annually
5. Customer Success (5% of role)
You will drive customer acquisition and retention, building long-term relationships with key accounts.

Key Activities:

Implement customer retention strategies (target: 90%+ retention rate)
Build and maintain relationships with key accounts
Develop upselling and cross-selling programs
Gather customer feedback to inform product development
Achieve 85%+ customer satisfaction score
Generate 40%+ revenue from repeat customers and secure 15+ testimonials/case studies annually

About You: Essential Requirements
Experience & Track Record
5+ years of sales experience in B2B and/or B2C environments, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets
Demonstrated success in building sales pipelines and closing high-value deals (£100k+ deal size preferred)
Team leadership experience - you have recruited, trained, and managed sales teams
CRM expertise - hands-on experience with Odoo, or similar platforms
Commercial acumen - you understand pricing, margins, and commercial modeling
Track record of growth - you have contributed to significant revenue growth in previous roles
