About the role:
We’re looking for a a Activity Programme Co-ordinator to lead the creation, implementation and staffing of our Group Exercise programmes across Exeter City Council’s leisure portfolio. This includes—but is not limited to—fitness activities, group exercise, swimming lessons, and a range of events.
In this role, you will:
Develop, implement and continuously improve customer-focused programmes across all Exeter Leisure facilities.
Oversee the delivery of high-quality group exercise sessions and events that retain current members and attract new ones.
Manage and coordinate sessional staff and instructors, including rota creation and day-to-day support.
Design timetables that maximise participation and ensure programmes complement each other across sites.
Secure suitable spaces, ensure capacity requirements are met, and complete risk assessments for all activity areas.
Work closely with our Marketing team to plan and deliver targeted promotional campaigns.
Support the wider objectives of the Council through programme innovation and community engagement.
Contribute to broader Culture, Leisure & Tourism duties as required, including project work, internal rotation and absence cover.
