Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 23 year old man living in Llantwit Major. I am currently on a supported internship with Bridgend Hospital, which is a full time course run by Bridgend College. I like sport and especially enjoy watching football and support Manchester United. I like badminton and tennis also. I particularly enjoy all ATP Tours on TV. I enjoy going to the theatre and especially like to watch musicals. Two of my favourite musicals are Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera. I enjoy all types of music, specifically George Ezra and musical soundtracks. I like to watch true life dramas on the television. As I live by the coast, I like to go for walks by the sea. I have ADHD and Autism.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me to maintain independence and improve my social skills.
HOURS OF WORK
Up to 2 hours per week to be used flexibly non-term time.
RATES OF PAY
£14.50 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
Support when travelling by car, bus or train
Assist me to improve my social skills
Support me to access the community
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Someone with an interest in sport would be an advantage
Car driver with own car preferred. Business class insurance will be necessary
Responsible and reliable
Kind and patient
Flexible
Someone who is a supporter of people with disabilities
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
