Summary

Chef De Partie– Care Home | 36 Hours | Up to £26,700

Hours: 36 hours per week (08:00–18:00)

Join a modern elderly care home as a dedicated Chef De Partie and help deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that make a real difference to residents’ wellbeing. This is a great opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys working in a professional kitchen environment and is passionate about providing excellent food for older adults, including those with specialist or texture-modified diets.

As Chef, you will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for a large number of residents while ensuring all dietary requirements are met. You will also support and motivate the kitchen team to maintain excellent standards in food preparation, hygiene, and safety.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen, catering for large numbers
  • Strong knowledge of menu planning and specialist diets
  • Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or equivalent (preferred)
  • Ability to lead, support, and motivate a team
  • Good communication skills and a caring approach when interacting with elderly residents
  • Experience with IDDSI / texture-modified foods (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for elderly residents
  • Ensure menus meet specialist dietary needs, including IDDSI / texture-modified diets
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff, promoting a positive team environment
  • Engage with residents to understand individual preferences and nutritional needs
  • Manage stock, ordering, and budgets to support smooth kitchen operations
  • Maintain full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations
