Summary
Our client, a highly respected organisation in Dukinfield, Borough of Tameside, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time SEN Social Worker to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and their families, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care and support.
As an integral member of our client's team, the SEN Social Worker will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering targeted interventions to support the well-being and development of children and young people with SEN. This challenging yet rewarding role offers a competitive salary range of £102 - £110 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The ideal candidate will possess a recognised social work qualification, such as a degree in Social Work or equivalent, and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). A proven track record of working with children and young people with SEN, as well as a deep understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice, is essential.
Key responsibilities of the SEN Social Worker include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and young people with SEN, identifying their needs and developing personalised support plans
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including education, health, and social care professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to support
- Providing emotional support and practical guidance to children, young people, and their families, empowering them to achieve their full potential
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies
