Summary
Job Title: Electrical Fitter
Location: Cheltenham
Hours: 40 hours per week – Day shift
Pay: £17.50 per hour + Overtime
Position Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Fitter with strong practical electrical skills and experience working on automated machinery. The role involves wiring, installing, commissioning, and maintaining automation systems, ensuring high-quality electrical integration and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Wiring & Integration-
Wire and connect control panels, motors, sensors, actuators, PLCs, and SCADA systems.

Route, terminate and label cables to a professional standard.

Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and industry standards.
Electrical Commissioning & Testing-
Perform electrical commissioning of automated systems.

Carry out functional testing, fault-finding, diagnostics, and system sign-off.

Support integration work with control systems and robotics teams.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting-
Conduct planned electrical maintenance and respond to breakdowns.

Diagnose electrical issues and implement corrective actions quickly and effectively.
Documentation & Collaboration-
Complete electrical installation reports, wiring diagrams, and checklists.

Work collaboratively with design, controls, robotics, and customer support teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Health & Safety-
Follow strict electrical safety, health, and quality procedures.

Participate in risk assessments and contribute to ongoing improvements in site safety.
Candidate Profile
Skills & Experience-
Qualified electrician, electrical fitter, or multi-skilled engineer with strong electrical hands-on experience.

Competent reading electrical schematics (motors, PLCs, sensors, control panels).

Experience wiring and integrating electrical and instrumentation systems.
Attributes-
