The Desktop Quality Assurance (DQA) team is responsible for technical assurance, re-engineering and quality control for all elements of the department’s desktop products.

This primarily involves the management, support and testing of key technologies for a 100K+ Windows11 estate. This also includes several other supporting infrastructure components such as Azure, Intune, Citrix, Ivanti, SCCM, Cloud technologies, Software packages and VPN Client integrations such as Zscaler.

The team are the owners of these services, and thus accountable for all day-to-day operational support and releases to the production estate, working as part of the wider Desktop org. The Desktop roadmap has a multi-year plan to deliver an enhanced service, with several long-term pieces of work ongoing.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to work with our team which has recently expanded and taken Model Office and UAT team under its wings.

The work is fast-paced and ever changing and there are numerous L&D opportunities which can be aligned with your career goals.

Ensure all desktop products and changes are defect-free before release into production.

Re-engineer solutions and provide technical assurance for technologies including Cloud, Citrix, Ivanti, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Windows 11 and Zscaler.

Design and implement automation scripts to improve efficiency.

Deliver a modern, secure and flexible desktop service using best practices for Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft Configuration Manager and WSUS.

Maintain Windows 11 builds and Evergreen updates, ensuring seamless integration of desktop technologies.

Support and administer Windows Enterprise environments, software distribution via Microsoft Configuration Manager and Intune, BitLocker, virtualisation, DHCP, Group Policy and configuration policies.

Build, support and maintain Windows 365 and Hyper-V virtual machines.
