Summary

Apply a structured change management methodology to change management activities with key responsibilities for:
• Implementing new ways of working, facilitating collaborative working and capacity planning. This will include responsibility for leading on workstreams within projects, and overall leading of other allocated work packages, with support from the Change Managers
• Delivery of relevant impact assessments, plans, processes and materials to enable the change i.e. business readiness assessment, change sustainability plans, new processes, benefits realisation plans and tracking.
• To have an awareness of benefits realisation management processes, and to develop the business change approach to support this, with support from the Change Manager
• Support the implementation of Change plans and monitor progress of plans against success criteria and maintain alignment to business case as relevant.
Note: Scope of plans may include change management, engagement and communications, and benefits plans, benefits profiles, and training plans.
• Core responsibility for ensuring that the ‘patient perspective’ as a key driver in continuous improvement in all aspects of change
• Responsible for reporting on delivery of Change Workstreams, project change activities and BAU initiatives to the Change Managers as required.
• Influence and design services relating to patient care and patient/workflows, including administrative and operational workflows which have a direct impact on provision of services.

Business Change
• Work with the Change Managers to lead on Business Change requirements to the Programmes and Digital Transformation Directorate
• Lead on development of Process Maps, Working Instructions (WIs) and other documentation as required for the work package
• Support informing the testing and training workstreams in line with agreed processes, with support from the Change Managers where required.
• Work within Innovate’s agreed Change Management methodology, supported by Change Managers in the team
• Review of the change delivered, ensuring adjustments are made and that use of the system becomes embedded within usual process.
• To support with the identification of data requirements, and the recording and reporting of such data
• To deputise for the Change Manager where appropriate
• To support other team members with daily work packages, coaching and development Support with the management of any project digital communication channels (e.g. MS Teams)

Strategy
• Have an awareness of the long-term strategic planning and alignment relating to the change management programme across both Trusts, primary care and all customers.
• Have an awareness of the ICB Integrated Care and Digital Strategies and understand the interdependencies across organisations and digital programmes of work.

Development
• Plan and manage change activities within a project, including establishing baselines for change, aligning change to benefits, working closely with change and training teams, and clinical and operational users.
• Work with key stakeholders to ensure that there is clear understanding of the problems and commitment to the proposed plans and implementation.
• Investigate innovative ways of implementing business change, researching user’s preferences, and suggesting changes to where possible to meet this.
• Take a lead role and influence change in business process reviews with allocated work packages.
• Provide liaison and co-ordination between the Innovate teams and the operational users.
• Monitor the impact of business change activity and develop an evaluation process in order to amend activity where necessary to improve the service offered.
• Participate in post implementation reviews of new Digital systems as appropriate.

Communication and Engagement
• Maintain and promote positive working relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external to Innovate and the Trusts
• Align protocols, procedures and operational processes with digital solutions.
• Resolve any queries or questions and provide guidance in relation to Digital systems in clinical and non-clinical settings.
• Effective communication within the management cascade structure
• Advise on Digital Equipment required in to encourage effective use of clinical Digital systems.
• Lead on the identification and understanding of the benefits of digital solutions for allocated work packages.
• Lead on the design and delivery of engagement activities with support from Change Managers
• Development of evaluation tools to demonstrate effective engagement activities

What we're looking for in our people
Essential:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience delivering major change programmes.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering change management
• Evidence of continuous professional development.
• Experience in leading change within teams
• Knowledge of change management principles, concepts, methodologies and tools; able to advise on a ‘good practice approach’ to business change.
• Understanding and knowledge of benefit management and change role within it.
• Able to define problems and evaluate new concepts/ ideas and identify recommendations and solutions.
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
• Flexible and adaptable; demonstrates resilient and forward thinking with a holistic approach.
• Excellent understanding of computer systems and digital transformation; ideally includes hospital digital systems.
• Appropriate means of transport for frequent travel to Innovate and customer sites.
Desirable:
• Relevant change management qualification, e.g. ONE of: Change Management Institute ACMF (Accredited Change Manager Foundation), Prosci Foundation; and/or equivalent experience.
• Training or coaching qualification
