Your new role
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced School Business Manager to join a well-established two-form entry primary school in Leamington Spa. This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, with flexible start times and core hours of 8am-4pm. The role is term time only plus two additional working weeks. You will join the Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in the strategic and operational management of the school.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee key business functions including finance, HR, health and safety, and premises management
- Maintain and manage the Single Central Record and ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures
- Lead on budget planning, financial reporting, and resource allocation
- Line manage administrative and support staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
- Contribute to whole-school planning and decision-making as part of the SLT
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school, supporting leadership and staff across departments
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience working as a School Business Manager within a primary or secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of school finance systems, HR processes, and statutory compliance
- Confident leadership and line management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving and strategic planning
- Availability to start as soon as possible
