Summary

This is a role where relationships come first, working in a specialist SEND school where every child's voice, individuality, and joy truly matter. We are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who believes that meaningful engagement with children is the most important part of the job.

If you are someone who connects easily with young people, sparks curiosity, and can create moments of calm, laughter, and learning-this could be the perfect role for you.

What the role involves:
- Leading small group learning and supporting teachers in delivering adapted, engaging lessons
- Using AAC, visuals, signing, sensory strategies and alternative communication approaches
- Building trusting, positive relationships with pupils with a range of complex needs
- Creating calm, structured and sensory-friendly learning environments
- Working closely with teachers, Speech & Language Therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Supporting emotional regulation and ensuring pupils feel safe, valued and understood
