Higher Level Teaching Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dynamic and inclusive school in North Liverpool. This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning, while helping pupils achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher
- Support teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and assessment
- Lead targeted intervention groups to support pupil progress
- Provide tailored support for pupils with additional or special educational needs
- Monitor and track pupil achievement, providing feedback to teaching staff
- Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- HLTA status or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working within a school setting
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Confidence in managing a classroom independently
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- A proactive, adaptable, and supportive approach
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
