Are you a skilled and compassionate Social Worker looking to take the next step in your career?

Join our Localities Team at the Isle of Wight Council and help shape the future of adult social care across our vibrant island community.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference—supporting adults to live well and independently, while enjoying the unique work/life balance that island living offers.

In this role, you will:

Deliver strengths-based assessments and person-centred care planning
Work collaboratively with individuals, families, and partner agencies to co-produce sustainable support solutions
Lead safeguarding enquiries and manage complex caseloads
Provide professional guidance to colleagues and mentor junior staff
Contribute to reflective practice and service development
Confidently manage your caseload without supervision when providing emergency and crisis support outside of core hours, as part of the department’s formal out-of-hours social work rota (up to 25 sessions per year)

Come and join a passionate team that thrives on creative solutions, strong partnerships, and developing talent.

You'll be surrounded by colleagues who are committed to evolving practice, working together across services, and supporting your development every step of the way.
