Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is launching a pilot Head & Neck Radiotherapy Late Effects Service to support patients across the South East of England in managing ongoing late effects of treatment.

As an Administration Assistant, you will play a key role in setting up and delivering this new service. You’ll provide comprehensive and efficient administrative support to the Head and Neck Late Effects of Radiotherapy Clinic, ensuring smooth operations and enabling clinical teams to focus on patient care. This role involves close collaboration with medical, nursing, and radiotherapy staff, as well as regular liaison with other departments, hospital wards, and primary care providers.

Within you role, you will:

- Provide a welcoming and professional reception service, greeting patients, relatives, staff, and visitors courteously and ensuring all enquiries are handled promptly and appropriately.

- Communicate effectively with medical professionals across both primary and secondary care settings.

- Deliver clear and accurate information to a wide range of individuals, both verbally and electronically, to support an efficient and responsive service.

- Engage confidently with the local community, ensuring positive and effective communication.
Offer written and verbal non-clinical guidance to relatives, carers, and friends, signposting them to relevant information and next steps.
