Summary

Care Assistant - Reablement

Based in Bury St Edmunds

Salary: £12.90 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile

Areas covered: Bury Town, Bury Rural, Forest Heath, Haverhill, Newmarket, Sudbury and surrounding areas

Block shifts: 0700-1400 or 1500-2300 or long days

Drivers required due to rural locations in the community

We are hiring Home Care Assistants / Carers / Care Workers in Bury St Edmunds to join our Reablement Team. The role will involve providing person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, helping regain their health, well-being and independence.

In this role as Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, well-being, and independence of vulnerable individuals within the comfort of their own homes. You will:

Provide compassionate support with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence care—always with dignity and respect.
Assist with daily living tasks, such as preparing nutritious meals, light housekeeping, and occasional shopping to help maintain a comfortable home environment.
Support with medication routines, ensuring individuals receive the right help at the right time, with full training provided.
Offer meaningful companionship, bringing warmth, reassurance, and social interaction to brighten someone’s day.

The ideal Care Assistant will have previous experience in the care sector and a genuine passion for supporting others. You’ll be reliable, compassionate and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to ensure accurate record-keeping and effective teamwork.
