Summary
Harvest House is a converted hotel which now houses 60 flats for those over the age of 55, who all live independently. The manager’s role is to organize and co-ordinate the day-to-day running of Harvest House. This includes:
• Arranging for quotes for works from contractors for repairs and maintenance of the House and grounds and liaising with the contractors.
• Sending out service charge notices, newsletters and notices at the direction of the Board of Directors.
• Assist with the maintenance of the financial records of the Company and House, distributing relevant information to the leaseholders and residents.
• Maintain the petty cash account with appropriate receipts.
• Attend regular meetings with the Directors.
• Supervise the gardener, cleaner and handyman.
• Provide an onsite office presence.
• Liaise with the leaseholders and residents, and all users of the building, internal and external, maintaining records of use of common spaces and communal facilities.
• Maintain the security and integrity of the building.
• Deal with emergencies with facilities and also with residents, including summoning medical and other emergency assistance when required.
• Be a trained first aider and fire warden.
• Maintain registers and documents pertaining to the House and its occupants as required by the Board of Directors.
