Koala North West are recruiting for a full time Parent Advocate
Koala North West have been successfully supporting families for 25 years and we are looking for someone who is passionate about the quality of services available for families and children
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Parent Advocate to join our friendly Wirral Team
This is a full-time position
Salary is £22,932 per annum
Do you have personal lived experience of being on a Child Protection Plan previously ? Could you use your personal experience to support families going through this process? If you answered yes, we would love to hear from you, you could be our next Parent Advocate.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Help families understand what to expect when a child is on a Child Protection Plan
- Visit families at home to provide respectful, dignified support
- Assist parents in attending Child Protection Conferences
- Build trusting relationships and complete essential paperwork
Requirements:
- Lived experience of having a child in your care on a Child Protection Plan (or supporting a family member in this situation)
- Children came off the plan at least 12 months ago
- No social care involvement for the past 12 months
