You’ll oversee room allocations across the University’s accommodation estate and work closely with the Student Disability and Inclusion (SDI) team. Where necessary, you may also support the allocation of accessible accommodation for students with specific requirements, ensuring all students are appropriately accommodated.

This role combines operational leadership with a commitment to inclusion and excellent service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the allocation of approximately 6,500 rooms across the University’s accommodation estate using our accommodation management software.
Managing nominations agreements with partner institutions to ensure effective delivery in line with agreed terms.
Supporting with coordinating with the SDI team on accessibility requirements, and providing assistance for the allocation of accessible rooms.
Acting as a key contact for complex accommodation cases, providing informed advice and solutions where required.
Supporting and guiding Customer Services Advisors and other team members to ensure consistent, high-quality service for all residents.
Monitoring data and reporting on occupancy, allocations, and accessibility trends to inform planning and decision-making.
Contributing to the planning and delivery of key operational periods, including arrivals, departures, and contract changeovers.
About you

You’ll have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing a team, acting as an escalation point for complex or challenging situations, and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders. A calm, professional approach and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately are essential.

What we offer
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent position, complemented by a comprehensive range of employee benefits. You’ll also contribute to a small number of weekend shifts each year during key intake and departure periods (mainly August and September).

As a university we aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive and are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity. We believe that we can only truly meet our objectives if we are reflective of society, so we are passionate about creating a working environment in which you are free to bring your whole self to work. With a generous holiday allowance as well as additional university closure days we are committed to supporting our staff and students and open to a flexible working approach.
