We are looking to employ a personal assistant to provide care and friendship for our 14yr old son with Muscular Dystrophy. He is fully wheel chair bound and displays some Autistic-like behaviours related to his MD.
He is very academic and loves to impress with his knowledge. He also loves gaming and maintains a lot of his friendships in this way. He plays building games as well combative games and also enjoys strategic games such as chess. He is very interested in food and fine dining and given the opportunity would enjoy preparing it.
Our son takes some getting to know but once he trusts you, he is very funny and great to be around.
Hours
3 hours per week term time
6 hours per week school holidays
£13 per hour
These can be spread out over weekends and evenings, or taken together.
The role is paid through direct payments.
We would like our son to expand his experiences and become confident with others not in his immediate family. He would enjoy trips out as well as doing things in the house.
Interested candidates will be subject to DBS checks and references will be sought.
