Registered social workers who are practicing at an advanced practitioner level to join us in our Locality children and Families Teams. We have several positions (permanent/temporary and full-time/part-time available). These posts offer an exciting opportunity for experienced, motivated, and ambitious practitioners to work in a dynamic environment.

Our Advanced Practitioner roles have been designed to improve career development and learning opportunities for experienced colleagues and requires social workers to practice at a higher level of competence pulling on an accumulation of experience, level of expertise (academic and developmental) and the ability to confidently engage with situations that present greater risk and complexity.

You will need to have experience in working with children and families and knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and guidance together with an ability to assess and manage risk. You will also be required to evidence a commitment to your own continuous professional and development.

Advanced Practitioners must have a minimum 3-year post-qualifying experience, accompanied by:

  • Evidence of Post Graduate Qualification, or
  • Evidence of additional learning and development*, and
  • Management of Complex Cases

*Commitment to undertake Post Graduate Qualification if successful.

You are required to evidence experience of chairing meetings and a proven track record of supporting team practice development, such as mentoring, facilitating student placements, and supporting groupwork.
