Summary

Neway International are seeking an Advanced Practitioner (Children’s) to join our client based with Lincolnshire County Council.

Location: Gresley Road, Off Stewton Lane, Louth, LN11 8FG
Hours: 37 hours per week
Start Date: 13/03/2026
Duration: Initially for 6 months likely to be extended
Work Pattern: One week in three fully office‑based (duty week), two weeks hybrid


About the Client
Lincolnshire County Council’s Children’s Services is a stable, supportive, and well‑established service committed to safeguarding children and supporting families across the county. The Assessment Team responds to safeguarding concerns, completing timely assessments and ensuring children are safe, supported, and protected.

The Role
The Advanced Practitioner will undertake Child and Family Assessments following safeguarding referrals, working closely with partner agencies and families to ensure children are cared for safely. The role requires strong assessment skills, experience managing cases within the Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) frameworks, and the ability to manage both private and public law proceedings.

The team operates on a three‑week duty cycle: one week on duty (office‑based) receiving new cases, followed by two weeks off‑duty with hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities
Complete Child and Family Assessments in response to safeguarding concerns.

Work directly with children, families, and partner agencies to ensure safety and positive outcomes.

Manage cases within CIN and CP frameworks.

Lead and contribute to private and public law proceedings.

Ensure timely, accurate recording and compliance with statutory requirements.

Participate in the three‑week duty rota, including full office‑based attendance during duty weeks.

Build effective working relationships with multi‑agency partners.

Contribute to a supportive, stable, and collaborative team environment.

Candidate Requirements
Essential:

Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.

Experience completing Child and Family Assessments.

Strong background in CIN and CP case management.

Experience managing private and public law proceedings.

Ability to work confidently within a duty system.

Strong partnership working skills with multi‑agency professionals.

Excellent communication, assessment, and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and within a supportive team structure.
