Summary

Internal Audit Assistant

Salary: c. £30,000 per annum

We have an incredible opportunity here at the West Brom for someone who has strong administrative experience, and who is looking to kick start their career in Internal Audit.

As an Internal Audit Assistant you will Report into the Chief Internal Auditor and provide administrative support to the Internal Audit Department and will carry out Branch Inspections.



What the role will look like:

Prepare Committee papers (for example Audit Committee and Executive Committee) liaising with other departments as appropriate.
Coordinate the Internal Audit action tracking process, including issuing timely reports on action status.
Liaise with Internal Audit Co-Source firm and colleagues across the business to facilitate timely delivery of Co-Source Internal Audit work.
Conduct a programme of branch inspections, including planning, fieldwork and reporting.
General administrative duties and other ad hoc tasks in support of the Chief Internal Auditor and Internal Audit Manager, for example:
Producing management information (tables, graphs, reports, spreadsheets),
Internal Audit working paper system administration,
Supporting external quality assessment,
Requisition and invoicing,
Organisation of meetings,
Support induction / training processes.
Participate, with other team members, in preparing for the Society’s Annual General Meetings, taking specific responsibility for administrative aspects of the voting arrangements.


What you will bring to the role:

Critical eye for detail and accuracy, with good grammatical ability. The role requires a high degree of accuracy in producing management and Committee information, on time, and in a variety of formats.

Experience

Strong administrative experience including proof reading, presentation and document production.
Proficiency and practical experience in the use of Microsoft products, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and M365.
