to join our client based with Liverpool City Council
Location: Liverpool North Connexions Centre, Utting Avenue East, Liverpool, L11 1DQ
Start Date: 17 November 2025
Duration: 12 Weeks (initially, likely to be extended)
Hours: 35 per week
Pay Rates PAYE: £17.00 per hour Limited/Umbrella: £21.70 per hour
About the Role
Liverpool City Council is seeking three Outreach Family Support Workers to join the Early Help service. These roles are vital in delivering targeted, whole-family support to children and families across the city, helping prevent the need for statutory intervention and ensuring families access universal services.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as case holders for complex cases stepping down from children’s social care (Level 3).
Complete Family Help Assessments, arrange Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings, and act as Lead Professional.
Provide intensive, targeted support to vulnerable children and young people, including those with complex emotional and mental health needs.
Formulate and coordinate family plans to reduce risk and need.
Support families with practical parenting strategies and positive parent/carer-child relationships.
Align work to the Signs of Safety (SOS) model and use tools such as the Family Outcomes Star to measure progress.
Maintain accurate records on electronic systems, attend supervision, and contribute to service development.
Promote safeguarding and equal opportunities in all aspects of work.
