Are you someone who finds joy in helping young people with additional needs build confidence, connection, and self-belief through movement?
If you bring patience, positivity, and a nurturing approach, this could be the perfect role for you.
About the Provision
This specialist sports setting provides a safe, calm, and relationship-focused environment for young people aged 11-16 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, or mental health needs.
Here, sport isn't just about competition - it's about communication, confidence, and connection.
The provision is based within a local sports club, with access to a wide range of facilities including football pitches, paddle courts, archery, squash courts, and open outdoor spaces.
Every day is designed to meet students where they are - using physical activity, gentle structure, and empathy to help them grow emotionally, socially, and physically.
The Role
As an SEN Sports Coach, you'll play a vital part in supporting young people to discover the joy of movement and the pride of personal progress.
You'll adapt activities to meet individual needs, foster inclusion, and create positive, confidence-building experiences for every learner.

✓ Using sport as a tool to build communication, resilience, and teamwork
✓ Encouraging participation and celebrating small victories with genuine warmth and enthusiasm
✓ Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups, helping them feel calm, confident, and included
✓ Creating a safe, structured, and emotionally supportive environment
✓ Working closely with teachers and mentors to ensure activities are accessible and enjoyable for all
✓ Using empathy, creativity, and patience to help each student reach their potential
What You'll Gain
✓ A caring, close-knit team who genuinely value empathy, collaboration, and wellbeing
✓ A calm, nurturing working environment where relationships come first
✓ Access to exceptional facilities and outdoor activity spaces
✓ Free Team Teach certification and ongoing SEN-specific training
✓ Regular mentoring, reflection, and professional development
✓ A genuine opportunity to grow within a compassionate, forward-thinking organisation
What We're Looking For
