Summary

Introduction
I am a lady in my 50s with a cat and three adult daughters. I use a wheelchair to get around the house and require personal assistance to enable be to be independent.

I am looking for 2-4 new employees to join my care team and fill available shifts (The number of hires depends on how many shifts applicants want to work and whether they prefer part-time or full-time).

Duties
You will work to assist me in my daily activities, so that I am able to access what I need and move around the house. I will always be communicating and instructing, and I will tell you everything that I need during the shift.

To give you an idea of what assistance is required during each shift, I have roughly outlined my usual routine below.

The night shift is a sleeping shift. It involves helping me getting ready for bed, personal care using a hoist, helping me relieve leg cramps during the night when they wake me up, and helping me get out of bed in the morning. There is a bedroom adjacent to mine where you can sleep and I will usually call a couple times per night for 5 mins of assistance.

An afternoon shift involves helping me use the toilet using a hoist, helping me adjust my seating position in my wheelchair, and helping me to do light housework and providing assistance preparing food.

A morning shift involves assistance with my physiotherapy exercises, helping me do housework, and occasionally preparing food.

No experience is necessary - all training will be provided during working hours, and paid at the usual rate.
