We also provide ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses for those looking to improve their English skills for work, family and life.

About the role
Pay Details: Grade 4 (Pt 5-7) £25,583 - £26,403 - full time pro rata, £13.26 - £13.69 (per hour)

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 28 hours Monday – Thursday / Term-time only

Main Place of Work: Vale Learning Centre, Barry Library

Temporary Reason: This post is reliant on enrollments and fee income.

About you:
The Vale Learning Centre is seeking to appoint a friendly and out-going clerical assistant to support the programme run in our centre at Barry Library. The applicant will need to be a great communicator with excellent organisational skills. You will need good technical skills using Excel, Word and Outlook. An understanding of social media would be advantageous.

You will need:
Customer service skills dealing with the public.
Good use of Microsoft Office Work and Excel
Sending and receiving emails using outlook.
A clear understanding of data protection requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Contribute to a positive teamwork environment
Empathy with learners.
Ability to respond to changing priorities and demands.
