Summary
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with our stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document internal ICT requirements from No10 business areas and translate these into functional specifications for ICT systems and digital platforms within No10.
- Develop use cases from business requirements and ensure that they contain suitable acceptance criteria to support development and test activity.
- Analyse and document business processes, user journeys, and data flows to align with the team's product goals and delivery strategy.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform the digital strategy.
- Evaluate existing ICT systems and recommend improvements or new solutions to fill gaps.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and user testing sessions to validate solutions.
- Collaborate with internal engineers, developers, and third-party suppliers to deliver user-focused outcomes to the business.
- Monitor and track project progress and assist in change management efforts driving forward work and ensuring the effort is spent on meeting business objectives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Other ad hoc duties such as searching data and systems to analyse various information required to meet PMQs, FOI and other legal obligations.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong understanding of both business processes and digital technologies, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable insights.
- Should be comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, possess excellent communication, influencing and documentation skills, and be adept at identifying opportunities for service improvement.
- Have strong analytical skills with a background of working in the technology sector. You will need hands-on experience of managing Stakeholder expectations.
- Be able to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring consistent progress and timely delivery across workstreams.
- Have strong project management skills with a track record of driving initiatives forward, navigating change effectively, and maintaining focus on strategic business outcomes.
- Can demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making, especially under pressure.
- Thrive in a collaborative environment, building trusted relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
- Be resilient and adaptable, able to manage competing priorities and deliver at pace.
- Be confident working independently with minimal guidance to produce high-quality requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that drive successful product outcomes.
- Be able to apply a variety of business analysis techniques to ensure clarity, completeness, and alignment with stakeholder needs.
- Have experience in public sector environments, agile delivery, and user-centred design principles is highly desirable.
