Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8:40 AM - 4:45 PM (depending on day)

A vibrant, inclusive special needs school supporting pupils aged 3-19 across multiple learning villages. The school offers a holistic, progressive curriculum focused on communication, independence, and personal development.

About the role:
You will teach small groups of students with autism and behavioural needs, using tailored strategies such as PECS, Makaton, and assistive communication tools (iPads, visual schedules, and social stories) to promote engagement and self-expression.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
- Deliver creative, differentiated lessons to meet individual EHCP goals
- Foster communication, social, and life skills
- Work collaboratively with support staff and therapists
- Create a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment

Requirements -
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience teaching students with autism or complex needs
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional references

The ideal candidate would have:
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
- Experience using PECS, Makaton, or other communication systems
