Counter Fraud Compliance and Debt’s (CFCD) aim is to drive down the level of fraud, error and debt within the benefit system, to protect the public purse.

Your work as a Functional Team MI Lead will involve different aspects subject to changing business priorities, therefore we need people who are very adaptable and flexible. The job will include a range of duties including, but not restricted to, the following:   

  • To lead on the development and continuous improvement of the Enhanced Review Team (ERT) creating an environment to support the delivery of excellent, high-quality service and performance nationally across all Regions.
  • Lead on gathering requirements for bespoke reporting products that will enable data to be analysed to provide insights for decision making.
  • Promote our successful activity both internally and externally to deter and prevent further criminality.
  • Evaluate requirements against the present state (where we are) and the target state (where we want to be) and identify opportunities to develop successful business requirements needed to make the transition.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and co-ordinate work with Business Improvement Teams / key stakeholders to identify Business as Usual (BAU).
  • Support, inspire and empower the Regional Leadership Teams to lead their people and deliver ERT strategic and business objectives and priorities.
  • Drive people engagement and excellent communications across ERT - setting high standards for people leadership.
  • Work with stakeholders and technical leads to ensure business needs are translated into fit for purpose technical solutions.
  • Work in alignment with the aims and purpose ERT delivery. Ensure all mandatory training is completed and kept up to date. Uphold the Civil Service Values in all aspects of work.

Due to the geographically dispersed nature of this team, this role will require occasional / frequent travel and overnight stays.
