Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented operative to plant, maintain, and care for hanging baskets and seasonal bedding displays across public and private landscapes. This role is essential to enhancing visual appeal and supporting biodiversity throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
• Plant and arrange hanging baskets and bedding schemes for summer, winter, and spring seasons.
• Select appropriate plant varieties based on seasonal conditions and site requirements.
• Water, feed, and deadhead plants regularly to ensure healthy growth and vibrant displays.
• Monitor plant health and treat pests or diseases as needed.
• Replace faded or damaged plants and refresh displays throughout the season.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of planting areas, including weeding and tidying.
• Operate hand tools and watering systems safely and efficiently.
• Assist with planning and layout of planting schemes.
Requirements
• Previous experience in horticulture, landscaping, or grounds maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of seasonal bedding plants and hanging basket care.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness and attention to detail.
• Understanding of plant nutrition, watering schedules, and pest control.
• Full UK driving licence may be required for mobile roles.
