Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented operative to maintain laurel hedges and shrubs across landscaped areas. This role is essential to preserving the health, appearance, and safety of green spaces in public, private, or commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
• Prune, trim, and shape laurel hedges to maintain healthy growth and visual appeal.
• Remove dead, diseased, or damaged branches and foliage.
• Apply mulch, fertilizers, and pest control treatments as needed.
• Weed and clear debris from hedge bases and surrounding beds.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and powered equipment (e.g., hedge trimmers, loppers).
• Follow seasonal maintenance schedules and planting plans.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements
• Previous experience in horticulture, landscaping, or grounds maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of laurel species and general shrub care.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness and attention to detail.
• Understanding of safe tool use and PPE requirements.
• Full UK driving licence may be required for mobile roles.
