Summary
A friendly and welcoming family based in Yorkshire is in search of an experienced maternity nurse to support them as they welcome their first baby by March or April 2026. The husband works away, so the maternity nurse will need to feel confident working in a partnership with the mum, including supporting her in setting up a routine for the baby, teaching her and guiding her in all aspects of parenthood. There is some travel involved in this booking, so the Maternity Nurse will support the mum abroad as needed, including places such as London, Dubai and France. Please note, this role is for a minimum of 6 months up to 1 year (ideally a full year). A driver is required.
A valid first aid qualification is essential for this position.
Working hours: 24/7 for 3 months (minimum)
Duties include:
all maternity nurse duties
help mum with postpartum care
supporting mum in setting up a routine for the baby
implementing a good sleep routine
help, encourage and advise on breastfeeding
bathing the baby
light housekeeping whilst mum is spending time with the baby, including dishwasher
wipe the sides down
laundry
put toys away
sterilise bottles
tidy baby's room
manage baby's wardrobe, etc.
batch cooking for parents
The family would like to hire someone in March 2026.
