What skills and experience we're looking for
Hawkley Hall High School are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Welfare Assistant to join our team and help ensure a safe and supportive environment for our students during lunchtime and designated periods.

The Role
As a welfare assistant, you will:
• Supervise and support students during lunch and break times
• Promote student welfare and safety across the school site
• Contribute to the school’s inclusive ethos and positive environment
• Attend relevant training and meetings, and support wider school activities
• Be a designated first aider (if required)
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with initiative.
• Friendly, approachable, and empathetic towards children.
• Basic understanding of safeguarding and health & safety.
• Willingness to undertake training:
Desirable:
• Previous experience working with children.
