Our supportive Governing Board are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, and motivated Level 1 Welfare Support Assistant to join our supportive and caring team. We are looking for someone to support our staff team in ensuring that pupils have a positive experience in a safe environment during the lunchtime break at our friendly and welcoming school. We are looking for someone who is pleasant and able to communicate with a wide variety of people in the school environment and has genuine passion to work with our young people.
The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of supervision and lunch time set up: clearing away and sweeping the floor, promoting good table manners, ensuring the safety of the pupils, promoting good behaviour both indoors and outdoors and supporting our pupils to uphold our school Christian values over the lunchtime period. The welfare assistant will be required for 7.5 hours per week. The hours of work are Monday to Friday (5 days a week) 1 hour 30 mins daily. Term time only.
Applicants must feel comfortable in contributing to the ethos of our Christian school.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working and interacting with pupils within a primary school setting.
- Be able to demonstrate that they are reliable and pro-active.
- Have high expectations of our pupils’ achievements and behaviour.
- Have a willingness to undertake basic first aid training.
- Have a basic level of numeracy and literacy.
- Fully support the Christian ethos and values of our school.
